About the Paper
A Professional Network That Takes Itself Exactly as Seriously as It Should
A professional network for people tired of pretending.
The Professional Sycophants is an independent professional network. It competes with the platforms you already know, rather than plugging into them, because the problem isn't a missing feature — it's the culture. Professional identity has become an endless performance of corporate optimism, and most of us are tired.
Here you can share accomplishments, failures, frustrations, expertise and ambitions without pretending every setback was a leadership lesson. The name is the joke: it sounds like an institution that takes itself tremendously seriously, and its whole purpose is to poke fun at institutions that take themselves tremendously seriously.
Three products, one account
- TPS — profiles, posts, connections and discussion, plus the Unfiltered Résumé, the Corporate Translator and the Bullshit Awards.
- Bulletin — a modern village noticeboard where anyone can pin a public question to a company, gather support and evidence, and see whether a verified representative answers.
- Koi — human-first hiring. Short structured answers instead of a résumé pile, thirty applicants per role at most, and a public record of whether employers reply on time.
How we stay honest
- Individual participation is free. Businesses pay for hiring tools; we don't sell attention or data.
- Privacy by default: new profiles are members-only, Koi applications never include your posts, and you can download or delete everything.
- The satire is in the writing. The software is meant to be genuinely good.
